The Weeknd x Beat Saber
Working with Reality Labs and Special Guest, Meta’s bespoke VR/AR & Metaverse creative agencies, I wrote the film concept and creative directed the launch to The Weeknd’s innovative collaboration with No1 selling VR music game, Beat Saber.
Working off the concept of The Weeknd’s penchant for playing villains in his music videos, we created a Beat Saber game trailer where he battles a player for supremacy. In Social, the weekend following the launch of the music pack we launched #TheWeekndWeekend, where we flooded our social channels with curated Weeknd music content, engagement prompts, song pack reveals, influencer content and giveaways, including a bespoke headset designed by artist and frequent Weeknd collaborator, Robert Beatty with whom I also creative directed the artwork and logotype treatment.
